Recycled Nylon yarn from waste fishing net
Abandoned fishing nets are among the greatest killers in our oceans. According to World Animal Protection, an estimated 640,000 tons of fishing gear is left in the ocean each year, accounting for almost 10% of all sea-based plastic waste. To address this critical environmental challenge, YUANTEX & HSTTEX cooperates with Taiwan Fisheries Agency with a shared passion to protect our fragile ocean, and helps to repurpose material recovered from discarded fishing nets collected by local fisherman. These waste plastic nets are cut up, cleaned, extruded and inspected for quality by our dedicated local supplier and then shipped to us for compounding into a variety of YUANTEX & HSTTEX fishing net collections.
This versatile, high-performance polyamide relies on 100% sustainable feedstock while delivering material performance as same as the virgin material grades. YUANTEX & HSTTEX fishing net collections including knit and woven with excellent hand feel combine well with other additives or finishes for additional benefits, such as moisture management optimizes the comfort level of environmental activity, and PFC free DWR with wind resistance adds the value of textile. These are widely applied on outdoor clothing, high-value casual wear, and uniforms.
